On ten thousand sqm surrounding the centrally located building and the inner courtyard, there are around 100 trees: pines, olives, figs, almonds, capers, oleanders, laurel, pears, citrus fruits, plums, mulberries and much more. If you like, you are welcome to harvest for your own use.
The 160 sqm of living space and the roof terraces, the 300 sqm courtyard and the pool area make a wonderful and safe home for your stay.
The aquamarine swimming pool extends directly behind the courtyard. The area is connected to the house, enclosed by a natural stone wall and has high-quality sun loungers with side tables, parasols that can be positioned in various places and a shady pergola.
Right next to a row of citrus trees is an outdoor shower for use before and after swimming in the pool. A small area with a washing line is ready for hanging up swimming trunks and bikinis to dry in the sunshine.
In the evening, we extend the day with soft lighting and forget that it’s actually time to go to bed.
In summer, life in Puglia takes place mainly outdoors and this villa, with its 300 sqm of outdoor space, lives up to this one hundred percent: right outside the front door, a large dining table under a pergola invites you to eat in the shade. From here you can overlook the entire courtyard with its large agave, ficus tree, palm trees, oleander, fruit and citrus trees as well as a small herb garden.
Opposite in the courtyard is a small outdoor kitchen with BBQ grill, work surface and a sink. A few steps further on, there are armchairs, cushions and a table in a covered lounge area. If you are looking for peace and quiet during the day, you will find a shady spot here.
With an impressive ceiling height and starry vaults, the first interior in the house, which you enter directly through the front door, is a delight. In the tones of Puglia – the land and the olive trees – this modern and fully equipped kitchen promises far more than you would expect from a holiday villa. A counter allows you to prepare meals together, while the space in front of the fireplace, with two lounge chairs and a side table in front of it, invites you to read and chat.
The historical basis of the building is clearly noticeable here: an old barrel vault spans the entire room and the niches for storing goods are still clearly visible.
With space for up to 6 people, the large Osteria table also offers a place to eat together indoors.
In the first bedroom – the oldest part of the building with thick walls and a four-and-a-half meters high barrel vault – there is a large double bed, two walk-in wardrobe niches, one of which has a safety box, and a spacious bathroom with WC, shower, bathtub and two washbasins. A large patio door provides a view of the inner courtyard. Moorish inspired window recesses give the room its special atmosphere.
Above the large double bed in the second bedroom, a star vault in traditional Apulian design spans almost five meters in height. There are also Moorish elements here. At the back of the room is the bathroom with WC, bidet, washbasin and shower. A large, open wardrobe area offers space for your own summer clothes. The view from the bed through the patio door onto the plants in the courtyard invites you to linger and let the day start a little later today.
A narrow, old stone staircase leads from the kitchen to the first floor. In the office, which can also be used as a guest room for up to two people, overlooks the countryside with its almond and olive trees on the west side of the masseria through a large panoramic window.
A comfortable daybed sofa can be converted into a large, full-size double bed and offers the same comfort as the bedrooms on the ground floor. At the back of the room is the adjoining bathroom with WC, washbasin and shower.
There is a desk and chair in front of the large panoramic window which is ideal for your scenic workplace. A monitor for a computer is available on request. Anyone planning a workation stay will find this room perfectly quiet for instance for video calls.
An exit on the first floor leads to the roof terraces, which extend over several levels and are connected by stairs. If you go to the top tower, you can see the sea in the distance to the east, do your morning yoga or enjoy the sunset on a sun lounger with a drink.
